What Do
You Need?
Fixed price, agreed before anything starts. Half to begin, half at launch. Redesign pricing assumes you already have the copy and images.
Brand
A site is where a brand gets used. It is not where it gets decided. If there is no logo — or there is one and it was drawn in an afternoon — that decision lands in the middle of the build and everything waits on it. Deciding it first costs less than deciding it twice.
The MarkA logo built as a system rather than a picture: primary lockup, stacked and horizontal variants, one-colour and reversed, favicon and app icon, in every file a printer or a platform will ask for.Alone$300With a build$240The KitThe mark, plus everything that has to agree with it — colour with the codes and where each one is allowed, a type scale, clear space and minimum sizes, social avatars and covers, and a one-page guide so the next person designing something for you is not guessing.Alone$750With a build$600Brand work bought with a build runs at eighty percent, for the same reason a redesign does: the type, the colour and the grid are being decided anyway. On its own it is the full price and does not need a site to exist. Two rounds of changes either way. Anything printed, posted or run as an ad is priced per piece below.
One-time
- Additional page$150
- Marketing material, per pieceFrom $150
- Google Business Profile$250
- Meta business page$250
- Google or Meta ads build$450
Monthly
- Care plan: hosting, monitoring, two edits$100
- Automated social posting$200
- Ads management, one platform$350
- Ads management, both platforms$550
The Google Business Profile is already included in The Site and The System; the price above is for a Page build or a site somebody else made. The care plan comes with The System for its first three months. Ads management is the work, not the ad spend — Google and Meta bill you for that directly. The care plan covers two edits a month either way; anything bigger gets quoted before it starts.
Built To Be
Found
Search is no longer ten blue links. A growing share of questions now get answered on the spot by Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude and Grok, which read a few sources and write the answer themselves. Ranking on page one and being in the answer have become two different jobs.
Search engine optimization
The established job, and still the one that brings people to the door. Clean markup, pages that load fast on a phone, headings that describe what is actually under them, a sitemap worth crawling, and a Google Business Profile whose details match the site exactly.
Generative engine optimization
The new one. Answer engines do not rank sites, they quote them. Being quotable is a writing problem before it is a technical one: state what the business is, where it works and what it costs in plain sentences a machine can lift, and answer a question where it is asked instead of three paragraphs later. If a model cannot pull a clear fact off your site, it quotes the competitor that made it easy.
Both are decisions made while the site is written, not a service bolted on afterwards, and retrofitting either costs more than doing it once. The technical foundation is in every build. The Google Business Profile is the one piece priced separately, above.
The
Approach

You never get handed to someone else. There is no one else.
Most studios win the work with the founder and staff it with whoever is free. Every handover thins the brief a little more. Yours never changes hands.
- 01
The intake
Start with the form. It asks what the business does, what the site has to do, and what you already have: copy, photos, a logo.
- 02
The call
Fifteen minutes on the phone, after I have read your answers. You leave the call with a fixed price and a launch date.
- 03
The build
Half the fee up front and I start. Progress links as it goes, answers the same day, no standing meetings.
- 04
Launch
Two days for a page, two weeks for a system. Never longer than that. The balance is due when it goes live.
Who's
Behind It
BRAND IN is one designer and developer in Palmdale, CA, working with small businesses across the Antelope Valley and Southern California, and remotely anywhere else.
I write the copy, draw the logo, design the site and write the code that ships it. There is no account manager and no hand-off, so the person you talk to on the first call is the person who builds it and the person who answers when something needs changing.
Every site is built from scratch for the business it serves. The price is fixed before anything starts, and it never changes after.

Common
Questions
Should I use Squarespace or Wix instead?
If the site only needs to exist, use one and keep the money. Hire a person when the site has to do a job: bring in enquiries, take bookings, get quoted by an answer engine. A template is designed to fit ten thousand businesses at once, which is the one thing it can never stop looking like.
Do you only work with businesses in Southern California?
Most of the work is local, across Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties, and local clients get the call in person if they want it. Everything after that call is remote either way, so the studio takes work anywhere. The only thing distance really changes is how fast I can stand in your shop and photograph it.
What if I already have a website?
Then it is a rebuild, priced at eighty percent of the from-scratch figure: $400, $1,200, $2,400 depending on the tier. That discount assumes the copy and photographs already exist and are worth keeping. If they do not, it is a new build wearing a rebuild label, and I would rather say so on the call than on the invoice.
Who owns the site when it is finished?
You do. The code and the content are yours outright. If you already have a domain it stays in your name and I never touch the registration; if I register one for you, it transfers to you whenever you ask for it. Moving to another developer means handing over access, not starting again.
What do I need before we start?
A clear idea of what the site is for, plus whatever you already have: logo, photos, existing copy, access to the domain. None of it has to be finished. Missing pieces are not a blocker, they are a line in the quote, and a build with no copy and no photographs costs more than one with both.
Do you write the copy, or do I?
I write it, from your answers on the form and the call. If you already have copy you are happy with, I will use it. What slows a build down is copy that is half-written and still being argued about internally, which is why the form asks what you have before anything gets quoted.
Can you design a logo, or do I need one already?
I design them. The Mark is a logo and every file that goes with it — primary lockup, stacked and horizontal variants, one-colour and reversed, favicon and app icon — for $300 on its own, or $240 alongside a build. The Kit adds the parts that have to agree with the mark: colour, type, spacing, social avatars and covers, and a one-page guide, at $750, or $600 with a build. If you already have a logo you like, none of this is necessary and the site gets built around it.
What else can you design besides the website?
The material that carries the same brand once the site is live: business cards, flyers, rate sheets and menus, editable social templates, and static ad creative for Google and Meta, priced per piece from $150. You get print-ready files to take to your printer; the printing itself is not something I handle. A short launch or social video is quoted on the call.
Can I update the site myself?
On The System, yes. It is built with an admin you log into. The Page and The Site are hand-built and have no dashboard, so changes come to me: two a month are covered by the care plan, and anything larger is quoted before it starts. If editing it yourself matters more than the rest, say so on the call and I will scope for it.
Will you get my business found on Google?
The technical side is in every build: clean markup, fast pages, a sitemap, and the structured data that states what the business is and where it works. Ranking also depends on things that are not the site, like reviews, a complete Google Business Profile, and other people linking to you. The Business Profile is set up and verified as part of The Site and The System. On a Page build, or on a site somebody else made, it is $250 on its own.
What does it cost to keep running after launch?
The domain, which you buy and renew directly with the registrar. Hosting for a site like this costs a few dollars a month and I carry it on the studio account rather than billing it on. The care plan is $100 a month for monitoring and two edits. It is optional on The Page and The Site; The System comes with its first three months and is built to run on it after that, because a booking system with a database and a login behind it is not fire-and-forget. If you ever want the site moved onto your own hosting, I move it and hand over the keys.
